Wiresoft's Firegate - The Most Secure Firewall Ever?

Small and medium-sized businesses are often the favorite targets of hackers, and not a day goes by when we don’t hear of an online biz that just got messed up by an outside attack. Wiresoft, a leader in providing network security products for SMB’s, has recently released Firegate, which promises to end the trend.

Firegate is a unified threat management product, and contains a robust firewall, a configurable spamwall, VPN support, content filtering, and anti-virus protection all in one. But perhaps the shining selling point of the whole setup is the firewall itself, which Wiresoft claims has never been compromised in market or laboratory conditions. In fact, Wiresoft is holding a contest called “Hack Us If You Can,” inviting ethical hackers to try to hack a system protected by Firegate within 24 hours. The hot prize? A cool $24,000.

An audacious claim, no doubt, but if Wiresoft can successfully keep their system intact from hackers with $24,000 pipe dreams, it can be a major selling point — in addition to the fact that Firegate is priced affordably enough to avoid denting a cash-strapped business’s finances.
