Who We Are
Management Team
Tom Schram: President - Wiresoft® Inc.Every year, 32 percent of all small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) are hit by cyber attacks – not once but multiple times. A recent FBI survey showed that 52 percent of respondents experience unauthorized access to their systems every year. The cost of just one form of network intrusion – spam – last year topped $42 billion in the U.S. As a former Navy cryptologist, Tom Schram wondered, “Why do people put up with that?” As the head of Wiresoft, Tom has made it his mission to ensure that they never do again.
Tom Schram is the President and CEO of Wiresoft, a leading provider of network security and disaster recovery products for SMBs, and the company behind Firegate®, the world’s leading network security platform providing enterprise-level security at an affordable price.
Tom brings a unique set of qualifications to the company. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Tom served as an Electronics Intelligence Specialist and professional cryptologist with the Navy for almost eight years, four of them in the Viet Nam war. His understanding of special intelligence and the urgency of protecting vital information are at the heart of Wiresoft’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the network security requirements of its customers. As a 15-year veteran of Procter & Gamble in manufacturing, research and development, marketing brand management and sales, and former head of his own advertising agency, Tom also knows how to run a successful business from every perspective.
Today Wiresoft depends on Tom for his leadership, expertise in all things security, and ability to create a brand awareness of Firegate that increases awareness of a new standard in Unified Threat Management that “raises the bar” for network security and disaster recovery solutions that protect SMBs from network intrusion and safeguard their mission-critical business data.
Ron Lockard: Vice President and Chief Technology Officer - Wiresoft® Inc.Small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are the group most vulnerable to network security breaches. With limited resources compared to larger enterprises, SMBs too often rely on a patchwork of poorly integrated products that cost dearly – yet still fail. Now they have a better option: Unified Threat Management platforms that deliver enterprise-level network security at an affordable price. Wiresoft’s Ron Lockard is one of the pioneering spirits of UTM, and the engineering architect behind the company’s goal to make its un-hackable UTM-based Firegate the ubiquitous standard in network security among the nation’s SMBs.
As Wiresoft’s Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Ron Lockard is the driving force behind the company’s technological developments and product innovations. He spearheaded the design of the Firegate® platform – the industry’s foremost “unbreakable” firewall, delivering enterprise-level security and disaster recovery to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) at an economical price.
A computer enthusiast as a young child, Ron received his first computer in 1977 at age 10 and career aspirations flourished. Today Ron offers more than two decades of professional experience in areas of Real Time embedded systems, development programming, project management, IT infrastructure design and implementation, and network security.
The Washington State University graduate presently holds a broad array of industry certifications, including designations related to Microsoft, Linux, computer architecture and network security. He also is trained on open systems, networking and data communications, TCP/IP networking, practical project engineering, effective leadership, and effective project management.
Prior to joining the Wiresoft team, Ron had engineering responsibilities at AccessLine Technologies, WindRiver Systems and LynuxWorks. While at LynuxWorks, he was the regional systems engineer that worked directly with the Hewlett Packard LaserJet team. Together they launched, for the first time, multiple new LaserJet printing products simultaneously. As a member of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center technology team, Ron led the redesign and redevelop of a software-based audio simulator component for submarine acoustic trainers. The project saved the government more than $10 million by eliminating the need for specialized hardware. He also has served as an IT instructor at a local technical/community college on a part-time basis.
Jon Fetko: Sales Director - Wiresoft® Inc.859-533-9408
Value Added Resellers (VARS) are the marketing lifeblood of the vast majority of today’s makers of network security and disaster recovery products. Successful VAR programs hinge on the manufacturer’s commitment to supporting the channel 7/24/365, ensuring its success through robust programs that span training, tools, and a direct feedback loop to fuel continuous improvement and expansion. The bedrock of Wiresoft’s VAR program is the promise to each VAR that the company will never undercut channel sales via discounted mail order or Web sales. At Wiresoft, chief of sales Jon Fetko’s objective is to create the industry’s best VAR program – driving the success of the company by promoting the success of its VARS – and making each reseller a “missionary” among the SMB community, for the Wiresoft Firegate.
Jon Fetko is responsible for developing and managing relationships with Wiresoft’s national network of value-added resellers. His core charge is to ensure broad penetration throughout the United States for the new Firegate® platform – the industry’s foremost “unbreakable” firewall, delivering enterprise-level security and disaster recovery to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) at an economical price.
With more than nine years of sales and marketing experience, Jon manages the daily operations of the Wiresoft sales force encompassing the areas of direct sales, telemarketing and distribution channel management. He incorporates management strategy, sales tactics and customer-driven marketing messages into an overall leadership plan to boost sales effectiveness with a team-based sales approach.
Jon earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University. Prior to joining Wiresoft, he gained valuable industry experience in various sales roles for Lexmark International and CDW Corporation.
